roaming

The roaming add-on is available for us in the following 31 countries:

You need to be an existing ZenSim customer to add this to your plan. You can add it anytime you like if you can jump into the ZenSim app, and select the "International roaming" section in your service, there should be an option to add the add-on in there.

International roaming allows you to use your mobile phone to access mobile data (the internet), make and receive calls and send texts while traveling outside of Australia. If you're going away for a short trip, its a super easy way to stay connected and order Uber's and use maps etc while travelling.

If you log into the ZenSim app, within the Zen Garden and swipe down a little further you will see a little box with your roaming usage inside of it.

Keep in mind, with international roaming, some charges may not be real-time due to delays in receiving usage information from international roaming partners.

When you purchase a roaming pack in the ZenSim app, roaming will automatically be enabled. It will also automatically disable when your pack expires. If you want to check if your roaming pack is enabled, you can log into the app and head to the Zen Garden, if you swipe down a little you should be able to see a box with your roaming info inside of it - if you can see it, this means you're activated!

If you want to manually disable international roaming while your roaming pack is still active you can do this in the Service Settings section within the app.

With our ZenSim plans, roaming is always enabled as our services are prepaid you only ever be charged for services you have pre-purchased. If you would like to enable roaming with us, you can add a roaming pack in the ZenSim app by selecting your service in the app and scrolling down to the "International roaming" section.

You may also toggle international roaming on/off in the ZenSim app under "Service settings"

If you would like to enable roaming on your phone specifically, you can do this in your phone settings or see our instructions below for iPhone and Android.

To turn on international roaming on your iPhone, follow these steps:

• Open Settings: Tap on the Settings app.
• Go to Cellular or Mobile Data: Scroll down and tap on Cellular (or Mobile Data depending on your iOS version).
• Select Cellular/Mobile Data Options: Tap on Cellular Data Options (or Mobile Data Options).
• Enable Data Roaming: Find the Data Roaming toggle and switch it to On.

This will allow you to use data while abroad. You may also want to enable Voice Roaming if you need to make calls and send texts internationally.

To turn on international roaming on an Android device, follow these steps:

• Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your device.
• Go to Network & Internet: Tap on Network & Internet (this may vary slightly depending on your Android version, so look for something like Connections or Mobile Network if you don't see Network & Internet).
• Select Mobile Network: Tap on Mobile Network or SIM & Network.
• Enable Roaming: Find the Roaming or Data Roaming option and switch it to On.

This should enable data and voice roaming when you’re traveling internationally. Some Android devices also have options for Voice Roaming and Data Roaming separately, so enable both if needed.

To disable international roaming on your ZenSim service you may do this in the ZenSim app by logging in and selecting your service, if you scroll down to the service menu you will see "Service settings" and in here you may turn it on/off.
