Doing our part
Sustainability
Helping protect the underwater beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and reducing our carbon footprint by supporting Carbon Positive Australia's tree planting programs. Our digital approach isn't just savvy; it's eco-friendly too.
Physical offices, commuting, plastic SIMs and excess paper usage? Gone for good. We're trying to do things right from the get go, doing our part for this great big backyard we call home.
Sustainable Steps
Eco-friendly moves
Protecting the turtles
We're teaming up with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation by chipping in 2% of our profits to help keep our shelled buddies and the Reef thriving.
Eco-smart, office-free
Our team is fully remote and we run our show completely online to cut the carbon. No offices, no paper trails, no commute – we're fully digital, and those old plastic SIM cards? A thing of the past!
Reducing our carbon footprint
Our network and servers do require power to function in this digital world. But we offset this carbon usage by supporting Carbon Positive Australia's tree planting programs.
Planting more trees
We're helping sow the future with native trees across Australia by supporting the Plant the Seed partnership with Carbon Positive Australia who plant native trees across the country as part of their reforestation and land restoration projects.

Restoring the reef
At ZenSim we're big fans of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. These legends are all about protecting our stunning reef and safeguarding our ocean habitats. To throw our support their way we donate 2% of our profits to support their efforts. Have a squiz at some of their projects we've linked below:
Why the Great Barrier Reef?
At ZenSim we want to support causes which we really care about, and taking care of the Great Barrier Reef is something we think is hugely important. Being the largest reef in the world, it's a vital part of the eco system and an absolutely remarkable place to visit if you ever get the chance.
It is such an important part of Australia, and it is one of the most complex ecosystems in the world. The Great Barrier Reef is home to 25% of all known marine species totalling 9000 different species in total.
Also, aren't turtles just the coolest animals in the world? I think we can all agree, the world is better with more turtles in it!

Reforestation across Aussie
We're also proud supporters of Carbon Positive Australia. These folks are a charity that have restored over 5,400 hectares of land with over 7.4 million trees & and captured almost 675,000 tonnes of carbon, working with landholders, communities & and organisations. They empower all Australians to take positive climate action.
Carbon Postive Australia plants trees only in Australia with a focus on degraded land, disinvested suburbs and communities and regional and remote areas.

Reducing our carbon footprint
We are reducing our carbon footprint by supporting Carbon Positive Australia's tree planting programs. This is our way of offsetting the carbon emissions we can't avoid in order to provide our service to you, such as the power used to run our servers.
As well supporting the great work Carbon Positive do, we also try to keep our ecological footprint lower by:
- Not having physical office spaces.
- Reducing our plastic usage, and not printing paper.
- Operating 100% remotely so we don't need to travel or commute to work.
