Installing early won’t consume data or days from your plan until you land in Tonga.

If anything goes wrong, check out our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide or contact us 😊

We advise installing before departure over WiFi so you can be connected as soon as you land on the tarmac.

Yep! 99% of our eSIMs can be topped up within the ZenSim app with just a couple of clicks. If you run out of data, need more days, or you even want to add a new destination to the same eSIM, you can do all of this in the top up section in the Zen Garden in the app.
Log into the app, navigate to the Zen Garden to find your Tonga service, and you will see a button to up your eSIM right there.
Top up plan options: Tonga top up plans are the same as the plans on the website except with a 10% discount!
Extending a long trip: If you're travelling to Tonga for more than 30 days, you can add as many top ups as you need to your first eSIM to extend the days and data you have. Each top up will only take effect when the previous eSIM is expired so you can purchase the top ups any time you want without worrying about overwriting your existing plan.
Multi country top ups: You can now add multiple countries to most of our eSIMs via top up, so if you're in Europe for example and are stopping over in Dubai on the way home, you can add a Dubai top up to your Europe eSIM so you don't need to reinstall anything. Alternate country top ups will only activate when you arrive in the new country.
Your Tonga eSIM is designed for use within Tonga, so once it's been activated there, it won’t work in other countries.
If you're visiting multiple destinations, a better option might be one of our regional Travel eSIMs that cover entire regions like Europe or Asia.
You bet there is! Once you purchase an Tonga eSIM you will be able to access your unique referral URL which you can share with your travel buds.
If they click the URL and purchase a plan they will save A$5 on their order and you will receive a A$5 voucher on your account which will be automatically applied on your next purchase (provided they are a new customer of course).
You can track your referrals and access your referral URL in the ZenSim app. Check out our terms for more info.
Great question! Our Tonga unlimited plans come with a 3GB daily allowance, which is plenty for most travellers - the average person uses under 1GB a day.
If you do blow past that in a single day, your speed drops to 1Mbps until midnight, when your daily allowance resets and you're back to full speed.
If you're on a fixed-data plan instead (say 10GB or 20GB), there's no daily cap at all - use as much as you like until the plan runs out. We'll give you a heads up before that happens, and topping up is just a couple of taps away in the ZenSim app.
It won't activate the moment you buy it - your Tonga eSIM won't touch your data or days until you actually arrive, so there's no downside to installing it in advance.
As long as it's installed beforehand, it'll activate itself the second you touch down, and that's the moment your plan officially begins.
As for running out - your eSIM expires once your data or days are gone, whichever comes first (just the days, if you're on unlimited). Buy a 30-day plan and it'll run out 30 days after arrival in Tonga, not 30 days after purchase.
Simplest way is to pop your phone into our eSIM compatibility checker - it'll tell you straight away whether it's good to go with our Tonga eSIM and the networks behind it.
If you're still unsure after that, get in touch with us and we'll help you figure it out. And just in case your phone isn't compatible after all, our refund policy means you'll get a full refund - so go ahead and grab a plan without the worry.
We sure do - it's covered under our 100% money back guarantee.
Cancelled trip, incompatible phone, or your travel plans just changing - all of these situations qualify.
Check out our refund policy for the full details, but the bottom line is: if you can't install or use the eSIM, you'll get every cent back.
