The nitty gritty
Pakistan eSIM FAQs
Traditional calls and SMS aren’t part of our Pakistan eSIM packages - they’re strictly data/internet. To talk or text, use internet based services (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.) with your eSIM data.
Definitely. Install your Pakistan travel eSIM up to 30 days before departure, and it will activate automatically when you arrive.
Installing early won’t consume data or days from your plan until you land in Pakistan.
If an iPhone shows an activation error when installing abroad, you can safely ignore it - check our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide for guidance.
No - our Pakistan travel eSIMs are data-only, so they don’t come with a voice line or phone number. Any calls or texts must go through internet apps like WhatsApp or Messenger.
Your eSIM will activate automatically once you arrive in Pakistan. We advise installing your Pakistan Travel eSIM before you travel (installation is distinct from activation).
To install, just scan the QR code we send or install via the ZenSim app over WiFi. On landing in Pakistan, the eSIM will switch on by itself.
If you have any problems, check our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide or contact us 😊
The eSIM activates when you touch down in Pakistan - if you’ve already installed it, it should connect automatically.
Installing while already in Pakistan works too; it will start as soon as you complete setup.
If you experience connection issues, check our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide or reach out to our support team.
Using a travel eSIM trumps roaming in Pakistan - here’s a quick rundown:
Significant Savings: Pay local Pakistan rates instead of exorbitant roaming prices set by your home carrier.
Convenient Switching: No swapping SIM cards - manage everything digitally from your phone settings.
Usage Clarity: Get real-time updates on data consumption, so you never get billed for data you didn’t need.
Data and plan days only kick in when you arrive in Pakistan. Installing earlier just prepares it for activation which happens automatically when you arrive in Pakistan.
Install over WiFi before your trip to get connected from the minute you touch down.
If you have trouble connecting, see our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide or message us for assistance.
Yes - ZenSim’s eSIMs work in 200+ destinations, and Pakistan is included. For travellers needing multiple-country access, we offer regional eSIMs. You can find those on our Travel eSIMs page.
Connection Problems: If your Pakistan eSIM isn’t loading data, check our troubleshooting post. If that doesn’t do it, contact us and we’ll get you fixed up.
Installation Questions: Need help installing your eSIM? Visit our how-to guide, or shoot us a message at Contact Us and we’ll sort it out.
Anything Else: Got other queries? Visit our contact page and we’ll be right with you.
Yep! 99% of our eSIMs can be topped up within the ZenSim app with just a couple of clicks. If you run out of data, need more days, or you even want to add a new destination to the same eSIM, you can do all of this in the top up section in the Zen Garden in the app.
Log into the app, navigate to the Zen Garden to find your Pakistan service, and you will see a button to up your eSIM right there.
Top up plan options: Pakistan top up plans are the same as the plans on the website except with a 10% discount!
Extending a long trip: If you're travelling to Pakistan for more than 30 days, you can add as many top ups as you need to your first eSIM to extend the days and data you have. Each top up will only take effect when the previous eSIM is expired so you can purchase the top ups any time you want without worrying about overwriting your existing plan.
Multi country top ups: You can now add multiple countries to most of our eSIMs via top up, so if you're in Europe for example and are stopping over in Dubai on the way home, you can add a Dubai top up to your Europe eSIM so you don't need to reinstall anything. Alternate country top ups will only activate when you arrive in the new country.
After activation in Pakistan, your eSIM won’t usually work elsewhere. Each country typically needs its own eSIM unless you're using a regional one.
To make travel easier, try one of our regional Travel eSIMs - they work across entire continents.
You bet there is! Once you purchase an Pakistan eSIM you will be able to access your unique referral URL which you can share with your travel buds.
If they click the URL and purchase a plan they will save A$5 on their order and you will receive a A$5 voucher on your account which will be automatically applied on your next purchase (provided they are a new customer of course).
You can track your referrals and access your referral URL in the ZenSim app. Check out our terms for more info.
Our Pakistan unlimited plans include a 3GB daily allowance, which is more than enough for most people - average daily usage tends to sit under 1GB.
If you happen to use more than that in a day, your speed gets limited to 1Mbps until midnight, at which point your full-speed allowance kicks back in.
This only applies to unlimited plans - if you've chosen a fixed-data plan like 10GB or 20GB, there's no daily throttling at all, just use it freely until it runs out. We'll let you know before that happens, and you can top up in seconds via the ZenSim app.
Your plan won't start using data or counting down days until you actually arrive in Pakistan - so there's zero risk in installing it early.
As long as you've already installed your eSIM, it'll automatically activate the moment you land, and that's when your days and data officially kick off.
From there, your eSIM expires when either your data or your days run out, whichever comes first (unless you're on an unlimited plan, in which case it's purely down to the days). So if you grab a 30-day plan, it'll run out 30 days after you arrive in Pakistan, not 30 days from when you bought it.
Best way to find out is with our eSIM compatibility checker - just enter your phone details and it'll confirm whether it's compatible with our Pakistan eSIM and networks.
Not 100% sure, or getting an unexpected result? Contact us and we'll help sort it out. Worst case scenario, if your phone truly isn't compatible, our refund policy gives you a full refund - so there's no risk in trying.
You're covered - our 100% money back guarantee exists for exactly this situation.
Trip cancelled? Phone not eSIM-compatible? Plans changed and you just don't need it anymore? All of these are covered.
The full details sit in our refund policy, but in short: if you can't install or use the eSIM, we'll give you a full refund. You shouldn't have to pay for something you can't use.
